What is constant bitrate?
Bitrate describes the rate at which bits are transferred from one location to another. It measures the data that is transferred in a given time. Bitrate is also used to describe the quality of the video or audio file. Higher the bitrate better is the quality. Constant bitrate is an encoding method where the bitrate is kept constant throughout the file. The number of bits per second allotted for the encoding remains the same. Unlike VBR, the perceived video quality of CBR will constantly vary. Though CBR does not optimize video quality, it saves storage space.
