This is how you can make vertical videos for mobile viewing, in a portrait format, using Rocketium:

  1. Go to the Rocketium editor. If you haven’t created an account, sign up here.

  2. Add media, text and voice-over

    You are taken to the “Add Content” screen. The first step to create a portrait video for mobile is to add your content. Here you can add images, gifs or video clips. You can also add text captions or add voice-overs here.

    To add media:

    i. Search: Click on the search icon (magnifying glass) to search for an image or a video clip from Rocketium’s library containing over 15 million free assets.

    ii. Upload: You can upload your own image, gif or video clip by clicking on the upload icon and browsing for the media on your computer.

    iii. Drag & Drop: You can also drag the image, gif or the video clip you want to upload to the editor, and drop it.

    To add voice-over:

    Click on the Voiceover tab next to the captions tab.Use the record button to record your voiceover for the scene and upload button if you already have a recorded audio file.

  3. Select a theme

    Rocketium gives you the option to choose a theme from a library of over 40 themes categorized by relevance to your video.

    You can customise the effects, transitions, motion graphics, color and animations from the options available on your left.

  4. Publish your video in Portrait mode for mobile viewing

    Set the orientation of your video to Portrait, which is perfect for mobile viewing, before you publish your video.

    Click on “Finish” to publish your video.
