How to make videos for Desktop?

This is how you can make horizontal videos for desktop viewing, in a landscape format, using Rocketium:

  1. Go to the Rocketium editor. If you haven’t created an account, sign up here.

  2. Add media, text and voice-over

    The first step of making a landscape video for desktop viewing is to add content. In the Rocketium editor, this can be done from the “Add Content” screen. Here you can add images, gifs or video footage. You can also add text captions or add voice-overs from this screen.

    To add media:

    i. Search: Click on the search icon and search for an image or a video clip from our library of over 15 million free assets. You can search by using keywords.

    ii. Upload: Upload your own image, gif or a video clip by clicking on the upload icon.

    iii. Drag & Drop: You can also drag the image/video you want to upload to the editor and drop it.

    To add a voiceover:

    Click on the Voiceover icon. Hit the record button to record your voiceover for the scene or the upload button if you already have a pre-recorded audio file.

  3. Select a theme

    Browse the Rocketium library of 40+ themes categorized by relevance to your video.

    You can add effects, transitions, motion graphics, color and animations from the options available in the left panel. You can also customise the music and the fonts from this panel.

  4. Publish your video in the landscape format for desktop viewing

    Set the landscape orientation for your video, since the landscape orientation is perfect for desktop viewing.

    Click on “Finish” to publish your video.
