This is how you can add text captions to a video using Rocketium:


  1. Go to the Rocketium editor. If you haven’t created an account, sign up here.

  2. Add media, text and voice-over

    Inside the Editor, the first step is to add the content for your video. In the “Add Content” screen, you can add images or video clips, and the text captions per scene.

    You can add media in 3 different ways:

    i. Search: Search for an image or a video clip from our library of over 15million free assets by clicking on the search icon. You can enter keywords to look for relevant media assets.

    ii. Upload: You can upload your own image, gif or video footage by clicking on the upload icon (arrow pointing upwards).

    iii. Drag & Drop: You can also drag the image, gif or the video footage you want to upload to the editor, and drop it.

    To add voice-over:

    Click on the Voiceover icon next to the captions tab. Use the record button to record your voiceover for the scene or the upload button if you already have a pre-recorded audio file.

  3. Select a theme that highlights your text

    You can browse the theme section inside the Editor to select a theme from Rocketium’s collection of 40+ themes, categorized by relevance to your video.

    You can add music, effects, transitions, motion graphics, color and animations by browsing the options on the left panel.

  4. Publish

    Before you publish the video, select an orientation. A landscape video is perfect for desktop viewing, a portrait video is perfect for mobile viewing and a square video is perfect for tablet viewing.

    Click on “Finish” to publish your video.
