and took over the reins from his father in 1938, at just 34.
Scene 4 He started his career as a member of the Squadron in the French Army.
Scene 5 He became India’s first licensed pilot.
Scene 6 He also founded India’s first commercial airline in 1932, now known as Air India

where India was straight-jacked by an economic limbo.
Scene 8 It was under his leadership that the Tata assets climbed
from Rs 62 crore in 1939 to more than Rs 10,000 crore in 1990.
Scene 9 In 1983, he was awarded the French Legion of Honour.
Scene 10 In 1992 and 1955, two of India's highest civilian awards,
the Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan were awarded for his selfless service.
Scene 11 He always followed a business mantra of ‘Humata, Hukhta, Hvarshta’,
which translates to ‘good thoughts, good words and good deeds’.
Scene 12 JRD was a man of the future.
He was the first to incorporate a functioning HR Department in his company.
Scene 13 JRD has always claimed that he wanted India to be a ‘happy country’.
Scene 14 He was truly a pioneer businessman and a visionary ahead of his time!
